Meike Jentjens is a freelance music journalist and freelance copywriter based in Amsterdam, with eight years of professional experience. As a writer, reporter, interviewer, speaker and moderator, she works at the intersection of music, culture, and storytelling. Her writing has appeared across a broad spectrum of music and cultural organisations, festivals, and publications, including Amsterdam Dance Event, 3voor12, Crack Magazine, Sonic Acts, Friendly Fire, ESNS, Buma Cultuur, and Soenda Festival.
Meike also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Amsterdam Dance Event, where she writes, shapes editorial direction, and oversees the tone of all content. Alongside her journalism, she works in content and strategic communications and has a knack for connecting the dots across the many worlds that make up the music industry. Whether she’s interviewing artists, moderating conversations, or just following trends for her next best story; she’s driven by a love for music culture and the stories that make it move.
In other words: she’s pretty good with words.
